22 year old Louisiana’s Artist Rell Cortez

If you haven’t heard of Louisiana’s artist “Rell Cortez” you better recognize his face and I mean   recognize it good! Rell Cortez was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on September 9, 1998. Before things started to pop in March 2016 for Cortez he went by stage name "Travis brother." This name was Important to the artist due to the fact he actually had a friend by the name of (Travis) who has served 10 years in prison and was convicted when we was only 15 years of age. Cortez later changed his stage name to "Rell Cortez" in 2017. We asked him why did he no longer want to be called "Travis brother" he replied "One day I was cooling and this white guy walked up to me like yo I like your jacket. Cortez Jacket read "Travis brother" on the front of it. The white guy said "Who is Travis? is he like actually your brother or its a brand?" Cortez responded to the man and told him that Travis was his childhood friend that has went to jail so the man asked him "So what is your name?" He told the guy call him Rell so the guy told him "Look you have to acknowledge your name I mean we know you as Travis brother but folks are going to need to know who you are!" So Rell changed it to "Rell Cortez" The Cortez part of the name comes from Rell long deceased friend "Cortez Dinero" so he decided to pay respect and carry his name through out his legacy.  He permanently changed it to (Rell Cortez) and says he doesn't plan on ever changing it again. The formal Name is now Copyrighted. Cortez states that he is currently into Real estate. He currently owns property and decided this is something he will do until death. Unlike your average Rapper, Cortez Music is unique bloggers asked him if he can recommend an entertainer to listen to one of his tracks what song would it be.

He says he'll refer them to "The block fed us" Cortez stated this title means The neighborhood he grew up in was one of the toughest areas there is he believes adults back in his younger days took care of each other better than receiving assistance from the US government. He said the Men took care everyone, even if you weren't related to them. The older woman made sure every kid on the block ate. So he decided to name this track (The block fed us) The interesting artist and I mean (Very cool guy) explains the type of person he is versus what people betray him to be just by judging him from the type of music he makes. In his recent interview with "Amillionroses." Watch The Full interview Now - https://youtu.be/Y_WL8sT9frQ
